My name is Jorge Camacho. I'm a 'thinkermaker' focused on creative technology, human-centered design and design futures.

I work at Google in Mexico City. As part of the creative technology group at The Zoo Americas—an agency-like creative team within Google—I help top agencies and global brands to leverage the potential of Google's platforms and other emerging technologies in order to create awesome branded experiences. I've previously worked in the same capacity at JWT Mexico and Flock.

I also really enjoy academic work. I've been the academic director of CEDIM Innovation Programs and lecturer/researcher at various institutions such as Universidad IberoamericanaCentro de Diseño, Cine y TelevisiónMiami Ad School and Academia Mexicana de Creatividad. Academically, I'm interested in various topics: responsible innovation, the social affordances of emerging technologies, human-centered design methodologies and future-oriented/speculative practices in design.

I hold a PhD as well as an MA Cybernetic Culture, both from the University of East London, and an undergraduate degree in Communications from the Universidad Iberoamericana.

I often work as workshop facilitator, mentor, consultant and public speaker on innovation topics. Drop me a line.
